Past offers:

  • Postdoctoral Researcher
(20 months, starting March 2024, at the médialab, Sciences Po) to work
on the impact of social media on offline politics. The researcher will
be working with unique dataset of petitions and fundraising campaigns

  • 2 Research Internship (6 months, starting Jan-Feb 2024, at LPI Université
Paris Cité). To work on political cognition modeling using social media data.
  •  Postdoctoral Researcher (2 years, starting Sep-Dec 2023 at médialab, Sciences Po) on three possible themes:
    – Modeling of political opinions: We develop formal models of political attitudes and ideologies of individuals. We use digital data traces from platforms and models from social psychology to estimate multidimensional political opinions.
    – Interpretability of AI: We develop new methods to understand, measure, and manipulate representations learned by recommender systems and other AI systems in the context of online political debates and ecosystems.
    – Modeling of user behavior and opinion dynamics in social media: We seek to improve understanding of how social platform features impact opinion dynamics through agent-based simulations mixing platform affordances, algorithmic recommendation, and opinion dynamics.
  • Research Engineer (2 years, starting around March 2023 at médialab, Sciences Po). This project involves social media data collection operations across Europe, and the development of analysis tools based on network and textual analysis. We are at the frontier between computer science and political sciences, but in this project we will also work with social psychologists, economists, mathematicians, sociologists and political scientists, trying to model, observe and measure political behavior at massive scales.
  • Research Internship (starting as soon as Jan 2023 at médialab, Sciences Po) to work on the Polarisation European Observatory at the médialab, Sciences Po in Paris. We are looking with people with data science skills interested in political research or social science students with high computational skills to work in a social media data analysis project in collaboration with Bocconi University, Central European University, and the London School of Economics.
